Back in 1997, when I was working in Bellevue, Washington — just minutes away from a young Amazon in Seattle — I helped launch one of the first wireless mouse brands into the U.S. market. Our company even showcased at CES Las Vegas, where Bloomberg expressed interest in outfitting 300 of its traders. That era ignited my curiosity about the power of technology and online visibility.
Fast forward a decade later, I returned to Malaysia and started an online business of my own. Like most solopreneurs, I was eager and optimistic.
